Insecure S02 E08 Hella Perspective Discussion (SPOILERS!!)

I honestly don’t know where to start.   No, seriously I don’t know where to fucking begin with this episode discussion.  All I can say is that this is one of the best television shows I’ve ever watched.  I only felt this type of excitement when I watched The Wire or Breaking Bad.

I love how this episode was told in a time span of thirty days from the three main characters perspective.

Lawrence’s perspective was like watching a movie where you know a character is going to die you’re just waiting for it to happen.  That’s what it felt like watching Lawrence and his relationship Aparna.  We all knew that shit wasn’t going to end well.  In this episode, we see again how much influence Lawrence’s friends have on him.  Lawrence and Aparna relationship went the way it did because of his situation with Issa went unaddressed.  He was taking out his anger and insecurities that came from Issa’s cheating out on Aparna.    I was so happy to see Lawrence finally own up to his shit about sitting on his ass for two years and apologize to Issa.  It was good to see them both acknowledge their fuck ups and try to move on from it. 

Molly’s perspective was better than I expected.  I really want her to go for a change in her career because they clearly do not appreciate her.   I felt like they left that open or did Molly finally say fuck it and just said she was just going to enjoy life.  Molly mother explained to her the reason she stayed with her father after he cheated on her was that he made her feel special more than he hurt her.  Now, I think that is the reason why she went back to Dro.  Dro made her feel happier than anyone she been with. 

Issa’s perspective was great.  I really enjoy seeing her relationship with her brother and their dialogue with each other. I really enjoyed seeing her relationship with Kelli and Tiffany as well and see how they play off each other. 

I left out a lot because I figure some of ya’ll will mention what I didn’t.

I have to say when Lawrence proposed I was like finally but when time started to jump I was like wait a minute.  Part of me wanted to hold out hope that the episode was continuing to move the way it was time was as it started but once I saw them get married I thought to myself “They fucking with us again.”

I didn’t think season 2 would end like this but I’m glad Issa and Lawrence are starting to heal and become friends.  Plus to see her going back to Daniel and being roommates with him was not what I expected.

CAN’T WAIT FOR SEASON 3

There’s so much lol but it was a great finale. I cried during that apology. The writers know how to get you by the heart strings and leave you there lol

issa & Lawrance had the conversation that we all been waiting for it’s great that he learned from his mistakes but one thing i still can’t understand is why issa went back to sleep on the same couch she got disrespected on

like instead of being Daniel’s roommate she could’ve been with her best friend molly

And molly is just spending therapy money for nothing she’s just a mess.

Idk if y'all noticed but Tiff was supposed to be at issa’s house but she wasn’t I wonder where was she !!!!

Yooooooooo I did not catch that till the both of y'all mention it. So Tiffany could likely be cheating on Derek. Didn’t they say that Derek spent like a year in a hotel. I did not even catch that. Now that I think about it Derek said they’ve been trying to have kids for the longest but they were not able to.

I love how they snuck that in wow you guys I’m have to watch that again whoa whoa whoa whoa.

Well I can guess we’re going to see one of the storylines from season 3.

Wait wait wait now I’m thinking bout when Chad and Derek were helping Lawrence with his t.v. and they were giving him advice what Lawrence should do with his girlfriend still being friendly with ol boy from work her mentions he had to stop Tiffany from being friends with some nigga or am I tripping???????
